Finally an American-style IPA from us... This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a deliciously quenching finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

A dark orange-amber colored beer with a three finger frothy textured ;ight beige head. There's good hang time on the head. It settles into a full, thick rinflet. Light hoppy and wheat undertone nose. Stronger citric, grapefruit, bready malt tasting. Medium bodied and refreshingly smooth.

Drawn hazy amber-orange with a moderate white head. Laces well. Great aroma - pleasantly intense citrus and pine. Thin to the pallette. Flavors are requisite IPA. Nothing earth-shatteringly special, but a decent enough beer... but could use more body.

Strong aroma is fairly hoppy and has an undertone of yeast and grapefruit. It pours a clear coppery amber with a fairly thick light wheat head. Flavor, though, is not very hoppy, with just hints of malt and grapefruit, rather wan. Texture is a bit on the thin side, with only about average fizz, leaving a vaguely hoppy finish. I've had better, but it is still drinkable, if not memorable.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy light tea color with a small off white head that quickly diminishes to a thin film that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is subdued - some sweet (almost nutty) caramel malt with a little melon and some grassy hops.
The flavor is off to me - a little sweet caramel malt and a lot of metallic hops that leave a tarry aftertaste. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and kind of watery.
Overall, it's got a good amount of bitterness, but the flavors taste very off to me. -

Bottle from SL. Pours a highly carbonated, hazy amber color, huge pillowy carbonated head with excellent retention, tons of lacing, tons of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface, holy carbonation! Did I mention this thing is carbonated? The aroma was citrus, melons, slighty wet spongey. The flavor was fruity-esterness, citrus, pineapple, full hoppy bitterness, slight breadiness to the malts, earthiness as well. Body was full bodied. Overall, this thing was pretty solid as an IPA, was surprised to see it not doing better in the ratings, although the flavors could have melded together a tad better with a more flavorful bitterness in the finish.
