The cedar was unique and strong, the lemon was complimentary and refreshing....this grapefruit is also very tasty. A touch bitter and very fruity, the yeast and spice play a strong supporting role as well. Deep golden body, huge head and thick lacing. Refreshing just like the others. I was skeptical, but overly impressed with Cigar's Saison treatments.

The grapefruit wood worked better than the cedar version of this brew. Gave it more citrus flavor that blended better for the saison style. Citrus vs. smoke I guess. There is a third version of this (lemon wood), so now am I am curious to try that. Found that the quality didn't quite meet the price tag...but this sample was shared at a beer tasting party. May just have to pick up the lemon wood for the next tasting, so I could say I tried all three.
