Rated in 2011. On tap at CCB pouring deep mahogany with nice mocha head. The aroma offers up black licorice, highly roasted malts, some chocolate and . . . oh yeah, a bus load of oak and oaky spice notes. The taste is pretty similar with a pleasing mix of dark chocolate bar, spicy oak and some spicy hop like black licorice. The more I drink the more heavily oaked it becomes. Overall too much oak contact time for my taste.
