I couldn't pass up the chance to try a wet hop beer (my new favorite "style") but am a little puzzled why this was tapped in February--now I wonder how much different it would have been 3 months earlier. Pleasant earthy hop aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste is similarly earthy but not very bitter. Kind of weak.

Sampled on 10/13/2012 at GABF. This India Pale Ale pours a slightly hazy medium yellow gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is herbal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied India Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and citrusy. Nice carbonation. Nice lingering hop bitterness. All those Fresh hop flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

This beer is brewed with hops grown on Rogue's own farms. A cloudy rust coloured pour emits a weak hoppy aroma. Hints of fruit can also be detected. The flavour starts off slightly sweet, yet never gets overly hoppy. A disappointment.

not quite feelin the love on this one. a little too thick and sweet for a wet hop ipa especially. some dirt malt in there too which is not a favorite. a little bitterness and pine on the back end, but not enough to save it. premeium price too.

Another failure from Rogue (if this is what home brew tasted like I'd quit brewing) Aroma: a lot of malt, almost no hop notes, cloying caramel sweetness Looks: Medium reddish copper body toped with almost zero head and no lace. Mouth: Decent medium bodied and a bit slippery/oily. Flavor:Starts sweet, ends sweet, lots of malt, some off chemical taste, lacking in bitterness (only 65 IBU in a 'wet hop" product?), awful balance and lots of wrong flavors, dirty socks/old tennis ball mixed with brown sugar and a touch of pine Overall: there are some great fresh hopped beers out there, this isn't one of them

A deep amber colored beer. A frothy textured, off white head rises briefly above. There was no lacing at all. The nose is earthy and herbal. The body is medium. Nicely carbonated. In the tasting this is not a big IPA. The hops are light, floral. Overall not bad.
