The bottle lists cherries as an ingredient, but I must be missing something as I'm not getting any. A cloudy copper coloured pour with an off-white head. Caramel malt, floral hops, and spices make up the discernable parts of the aroma. The flavour is rather muted with the amber ale character winning out over the fruit character.

Probably the 1st Rogue bottle I've purchased in a year or three as I was intrigued by the potential of the contents inside. The potential is here with a strong cherry influence, but a couple of off flavors (especially the mild medicinal quality) held this one back, well that and a poor appearance and watery feel. Oh Rogue, why do you tease me so.

This one pours with a murky mahogany color. A small soapy textured, off white head rises briefly above. Settles into a nice soapy ringlet and splotches of light film atop the body. This one in nose and taste is all about cherries, tart and balanced nicely with a sweetness. A medium bodied, well carbonated beer, this was very good.

Aromas of the interior of old wine barrels. Deep brown body with a slight reddish tinge, almost no head or lace. Flavor mirrored the aroma with some slight cherry tartness at the end. Overall i just wasnt feeling it, although it did get more palpable as it warmed.

what the cake? i was sure i reviewed this when i had it a couple weeks ago. i'm loosin it! anyway, brick red. aroma of earth, must, oak, and a hint of cherry. fairly subtle with the fruit in the flavor too, at least for a fruit beer. not a traditional kriek, which could've been epic, but pretty good nonetheless. i'd have it again, but won't go out of my way.

Aroma is fairly strong and yeasty with fruity and floral underpinnings. It pours an appetizing semi-translucent mahogany brown with a decent fine-bubbled light beige head that leaves some nice lacing. Flavor is quite fruity, mainly apple and pear, but more sour than sweet, with a malty undertone and a hint of caramel. Texture is silky smooth and fizzy enough to let you know this is beer.

On tap @ Bearden Beer Market's Rogue takeover (2 weeks of ALL Rogue, all the time): Nice reddish hazy brown with a thinnish head and some nice lacing. Tart and sour cherry aroma with a slight funky barnyard nose. Taste is big sour-tart then slightly sweet cherries with a slightly funky yeasty mouthfeel and a sour linger. Very good change of pace and big surprise to find it on tap here.

This was the best beer of the night. We saved this one for last and it was surely worth waiting for. Slight cherry aroma, but strong cherry flavor. This is real cherry flavor too...not that imitation syrup that ends up tasting like cough syrup. Medium brown color, fizzy head that dissipates rather quickly. Feels full on the tongue and is a real treat. Glad to have been able to partake in this. A wonderful "creek."

Poured a very dark, reddish brown, opaque color, with an off-white foam of varying sized bubbles. Interesting aroma of slightly stinging cherries and a bit of mustiness. A little bit sweet and sour. The beer hits your mouth very soft and smooth at first. Flavor is a mellow cherry in the the middle that dries out at the end. Surprisingly full body but easy to drink. The cherry flavor improved as the beer warmed.
