12oz bottle with cool looking elephant motif on both the label and the cap. Also, I will never understand why anyone would put foil on the neck of a pale lager. Pours clear pale gold with very short lived nearly bright white head. The aroma is corn flake enhanced malty sweetness followed by a nondescript vague hoppiness. The flavor brings up a quick pulse of honest to goodness noble hoppiness with mild notes of floral, spicy and earthiness. The hops ride into the finish but are quickly over taken by an abundance of sugary sweet malts, mild graininess and sweet corn. This is one of those that just becomes too sweet for me after a couple of ounces.

this from a brown and it pours a clear light golden with no head to speak of. Aroma is malty with a hint of hops. Taste is sweet and slightly bitter, malty.

Color was really clear. Very light in flavor, touch of spicyness .Not a lot of lingering after-taste.Not a very hoppy beer.Having tasted beer overseas, in some countries this would be a huge improvement.

Clear light yellow color with a bubbly white head that disappears rapidly leaving little to no lacing. Weak if not somewhat lightly skunked aroma and flavor, near-stale hops and malts, very thin, weak and watery. At least it is thirst quenching.

Clear yellow with quickly dissapearing white foam head. Smell sweet, like candy. Taste is also bit too sweet for my style. Drink down easy, although it’s not watery. Short aftertaste, did well with spicy Thai food we ordered. (The Hague, 201209)

Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with light to moderate amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a ok white head that reduces to a thin small patch and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. The aroma of this beer is one dimensional, with that dimension being malts. There is something lightly floral in the aroma as well. Like the aroma, the flavor of this beer is on the lighter side and slightly one dimensional. The beer is sweet but very malty. The mouthfeel is light bodied with moderate to high amounts of carbonation. On the slightly thin/watery side but fizzy. Overall not a bad beer.

This beer seems to need a split in the BeerPal database - my 330 ml bottle (in France), simply named "Chang Beer", was a typical standard pale lager at 5.0% ABV, and can’t possibly be "the same beer" as a 6.4% "strong lager"??!! Anyhow, my beer pours with a golden colour and a large head. "Neutral" lager flavour, not offensive, moderate sweetness. Okay with a spicy Thai meal.

Typical Asian pale lager, with a rocky white head over a body of light gold. Perfumed aroma, taste of corn, thin and watery mouthfeel. All good here. Metallic finish, from a bottle no less! Only good thing was that it was a free one.
