Again, long ago there was a simple chocolate ale at C’est What that everybody enjoyed. It was a brown ale, dark brown in colour, with a light brown head. The aroma was nutty malt with hints of coffee and dark chocolate. The flavour on the other hand was all chocolate all the time. If you like chocolate and beer, this was your thing!

This was pretty thin for a stout. Colour - dark brown beer, creamy light brown head. Aroma - chocolate, vanilla, and caramel. Mouthfeel - thin to medium bodied. Flavour - sweet chocolate, coffee. Overall - decent.

Id say one of the lesser in the otherwise solid Cest What family mix. Like its peers it has a very smooth mouthfeel and soft texture. Some thickness, but not quite enough for my likiing. Also it doesnt lend much of an aroma, and flavours are a little too timid for this style. Refreshing and well crafted like all their products, but this one just didnt really impress me.
