Somewhat hazy darker red with small redish foam head. Aroma is sour fruits, unripe cherries, berries, raspberry. Taste is same, sour fruity beer, quite nice actually, refreshing. Lasting sour ftertaste. (Velp 201303)

Tee Hee Hee ….. there is a naked girl on the label. Drank during a steak supper sitting in the back yard with the brother-in-law. Beer pours a hazy pinkish orange with a limited short lived cap. Aroma is filled with tart raspberries, a strange out of place wood, and limited amounts of funk. Taste is so refreshing on this hot summers eve. Tart with limited sweetness, fresh raspberry mash, Lambic funk, slight rubber, hints of oak. Dam just realized I over cooked Rogers steak he wanted medium I gave him medium well, my steak is perfect so raw its slightly cold. Wow I could drink a lot of this. Finish seems acidic with citrus, the taste of blackness lingers in the mouth for a while. Yeah me!! Sister and wife don’t want to finish there glasses, I’ll just take those and dump them in mine. RASPBERRIES!!!

Musty raspberries with sweet and tangy Lambic served with high carbonation. Exceptional refreshment and quaffing capabilities. Dark pink/ruby red body with a light pink head, bubbly and sparkling. Very approachable with a light vinous trait to add a bit of complexity to a very straightforward Lambic.

375 ml corked and capped green bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5%. Clear red colour, big pink head. Intense aroma of ripe and sour raspberries. The flavour is very sour and tart, again with notes of sour raspberries. Good stuff, but requires that you like fruit lambics in the first place.

i gotta start by saying this was a bit of a letdown after having a $5.99 Monk's Cafe (which was great) followed by a $21.99 beer that was just pretty good. the look was dark pink woth bubbly pink head. nose had some raspberry but not a lot. sour funkiness as well. the body was a little too bubbly (the type of beer that give you gas by the end of a bottle). the flavor was almost all tart and sour lambic, with barely a hint o fruit. i expected more fruit and more complexity. nice sour finish. that this beer was not spectacular will give me pause next time it's time to pony up $20 or more for another Cantillon. 1/23/11-had on tap...totaly different beer...more lively, more sour, frutier, more complex, and tastier. 3.4 bottle...4.0+ tap. I'll bump up to a 3.7/

Sampled out of the tulip glass: Poured a bright pink colou with a large white head that quickly dissipates. The awesome thing about these Cantillon beers is that they amazing retention so it wasn't long before the froth came back after each sip. Aroma is raspberry on the nose which hit me the most. On the palate, sour fruits all the way through. A pretty misleading beer. I went into thinking it would be much fruiter. NEvertheless a wicked tastey treat. Thanks John :)

I was once told back in the 60s that nothing could make a man pucker up like a shapely woman. That man must have been talking about the shapely woman on the Gambrinus bottle because this is one sour lambic. Pinkish Orange in colour, musty smell, and sour raspberries will make a great pucker!

Pours a cloudy deep orange-pink color. Aroma is raspberry, strawberry, lemon, and vinegar. Slightly dry and bubbly. Flavor is a tart/sour raspberry and strawberry. Very excellent beer.

This will be my first product from Cantillon and I am rather excited about it. Bottled: 2007. Aroma is full of tartness as well as sourness with some farmhouse funk and some Brett with some sweetness and fruity esters and is vinious with alot of raspberry coming through. Appearance is a deep, pinkish to red in color when held to the light with a medium-sized head on top that is light-pink in color and diminishes to a light lacing that coats the glass very nicely. Mouthfeel is light-bodied and spritzy with a unique complexity as well as balance with a palate that is crisp and clean and rather dry-like but very good. Flavor is extremely tart and sour and similar to a Flemish sour and has an aftertaste that is full of Brett and tons of funk and tannins with a finish that is dusty as well as acidic with even some very faint oak. Overall, what a "sensory overload" beer this is and is very challenging to drink even for the most seasoned aficionado and I absoultely love this brew for sure and would recommend it to only veterans of beer reviewing and tasting.
