An outstanding Gueuze........even if it was a badly brewed batch from the 90s. I was brought two bottles oif this in 2006..one was consumed in 2006, the other in 2009, both were pretty much identical. It was quite clear, golden orange in colour, almost no head. Musk, manure, and wet wood make up the aroma. Lots of tartness in the flavour, but a good tartness.

Bottled@Akkurat. Orangeish golden colour with minor head. Aroma is acidic and sour wood with some mild notes of sour fruits. Flavour is dry acidic and sour with some mild yeast, wood and also mildly bluecheesy notes. Long sour wooden aftertaste. Really mouthdrying. Still a bit smoother than many other Cantillons.

Bottle, at Plan B, Copenhagen. Cloudy golden colour. Funky and sour aroma and flavour, feels quite strong. Some hops too (more than in other gueuzes, anyway).

Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a thin to medium thick head with some lacing. The aroma is sour, tart and full of horseblanket, so good. The flavor is similar and the tartness diappears quickly. Light, crisp and dry.

1998... Poured a hazy orange, yellow color with a small, white head that left very light lacing on the glass. Musty aroma of barnyard, horseblanket, citrus (orange peel), tangerine, and vanilla oak. Taste of lemon tartness, though very subtle. The 7 years of aging has done this nice. Oaky with a dry finish. Light carbonation (apparently the reason this was a mistake was because it didn’t carbonate?) Seemed OK to me.
