I found that this drink was nice for 1 or 2 pints, with beer snacks like nuts, but for a heavy drinker, it is not wise to drink more than 5 or 6. after that you will be in fear of the taste of the stuff. Nice as a starter to the evening/morning, but not a long night drink.

Draught@O'malleys, Vaasa (in autumn 2004, one of my first "ratings" from the times we with some friends in summer 2004 decided to have fun and start reviewing beers, little did I know TBone would get me hooked to this site in 2005...). Black colour, white to dirty yellow head. Aroma is roasted, some chocolate, mild spices as well,. Flavour is roasted malts along with a rather bitter and toasted finish. I'd love to get my hands on this one again, as it used to be one of my favourites when I began drinking beer.

It was stout... nothing truly outstanding... black with roasted malts... not too sweet... not very creamy or rich. A bland offering that did nothing to wow me.

I have given this many chances but it doesn't seem to help the cause....tastes almost watered down compared to other stouts in its class. I guess I'll have to keep drinking until I find the right one!!

I am not a big stout drinker, but I did enjoy this one. I thought the taste was less harsh than Guiness and nicer than Murphy's.

Truly among the best stouts that I have tried. Smooth, but filling.

This is the best stout I have ever tasted. It's smoother than Murphy's, the taste is crisper than Guinness's, the body is full and the head is snow white, stays very long.

I was comparing this beer with Guinness and Caffrey's taste seemed smoother and the aftertaste richer. This one is fast becoming one of my favorites.
