Bottle: Poured a deep brown, almost black color ale with an average size foamy head with good retention and limited lacing. Aroma of deep caramel malt with some toffee notes. Taste is also dominated by some deep caramel malt with some toffee notes and some minimal hops presence. Body is bit too thin with good carbonation. Loads of character for style that can be often quite bland.

I tried a half a glass one night about a week ago at a friends house, and fell in love (or so I thought). Just to confirm, I went straight to Bushwakker and bought a variety of their fine brews. I am now almost finished my first heavenly bottle. This is one of the best brews I have ever tasted. I cannot wait to try the rest. I will post the results of my tastes of them as well...

Pours deep brown with a full tan colored head. Aroma of toasted dark malt and also some licorice. Nice balance of roasted, chocolaty malt and sweetness on the palate. Just a hint of bitterness on the finish. As it warms, even more smokiness comes through.
