The India Pale Ale style was originally brewed for the British troops stationed in India in the 18th century. Our English-style IPA boasts plenty of malty body, warming alcohol and earthy, refined hop bitterness.

Bottle: thanks Kris Poured a deep amber-orange into the glass thick, sticky 2 finger cap with great retention and lacing. Aromas: Toffee, caramel, musty-earthy-cedar hop tones. Profile: profuse caramel malts in front are instantly joined with a juicy citrus rush from the hops to balance....mid palate some toasty-treacle tones with spruce hops and some tart fruity notes...the finish is lingering and drying with the citrus-pine bittering ripping loose from the rich caramel malts. Lush juicy mouth feel, creamy caramel malts, good dose of hops, satisfying and drinkable a perfect session IPA....This is a keeper!

750 ml bottle brought back from visit to Regina. Deep gold with orange hilights, slightlyoff white foam. Lots of small suspended particles in this unfiltered, unpasteurized beer. Lots of hoppy aroma of pine and citrus. Taste is very hoppy, and could taste some spiciness too. Lots of IBUs, but more of an earthy bitterness, as opposed to the sharp graipfruit flavor in some other IPAs. Leaves a sting on your tongue, but mouthfeel is not overly heavy or oily. If you like bitter hops, you'll enjoy this one.
