Created in June 1998, Bush Blond is obviously a discovery in the strong blond ales market in which it will undoubtedly play a major role. It has a light and glistering colour. It rates at 10.5 % alcohol content. Hugues Dubuisson who is the current brewer wanted it to be worth of the famous Bush Amber and gave it the same nice aroma and flavour, which are henceforth the Brewery Dubuisson's signature.

Celebrating the end of the Bluesfest 2013 (10 days of concerts). Goes under the name "Scaldis Blonde Triple" in a wine-looking bottle, with a cork and cage, at the LCBO. Written 2016 on neck label. Big fluffy white head, decent retention and a little foamy lace. Hazy golden colour with lots of medium-sized bubbles. The nose has lots of alcohol, with notes of apples, spices, yeast and some fruity lemon zest. Still, too boozy. Thankfully, it is not as present in the taste. More fruits like apples and hints of pears. Also quite yeasty, but with some sweetness to balance things. The head seems to get creamier as it gets, leaving a nice coat over the brew. Still, I find this does not need as much of a high alcohol content to be better. Not my kind of Tripel.

750ml bottle
10.5% ABV
King/Spadina LCBO Outlet (Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

Bottle is labelled as "Scaldis Blonde Tripel". The beer pours a hazed darek gold colour with a generous white head. Aroma is yeast, light fruits, and spices. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with above average carbonation. Alcohol is the firest thing I taste followed by some sweet fruit notes, yeast, and spices. Over the course of the hour, the alcohol does become less noticeable. -

Part of the 2013 LCBO Summer Release. I hope this is the right beer as my bottle says Scaldis Extra Blonde Tripel. Anyway with a hazed gold with a huge white head. Quite a bit of effervescence. Aroma is yeast, citrus, grains, and spices. Flavour is sweet for a tripel, almost a caramel sweetness. There is still the yeast, spices, and citrus but the caramel bites you in the tongue.

Clear yellow with big white foam head. Sweet aroma, so is taste bit flat bit too sweet and there is still bit too much alcohol involved. Taste is too sweet, not my style. (Velp 201206)

Slightly hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruit, caramel, malts and hops. Flavour is caramellish malts, slight "grassy alcohol" on the tongue, hides the ABV very well for being 10+. Aftertaste is grass and caramel.

2000 vintage, sampled 04/2004 - hazy amber-orange colour with tons of yeast particules floating in, little foam, aroma of candy sugar, pear and alcohol, some nutty notes developp as the beer gets warmer, sweet and medium-bodied, the finish is slightly dry, malty with notes of hazelnut - superb

Bottle. Pale clear golden colour with a slim white head. Sweet, peachy aroma. Nice taste; sweet, fruity with some light bitterness in the finish. Full bodied, alcohol well hid, but noticable in a warming way, really late on. I found this a much better crafted beer than the ambree. Very good.
