This light ale was created by Hugues Dubuisson in 1994. The first brew was produced to celebrate the brewery's 225th anniversary. This light beer is amber-coloured because of the small amounts of caramel malt used for its production. It rates at 7.5% alcohol content. It tastes bitter sweet. It offers a very fruity flavour and aroma due to the use of certain raw materials such as aromatic Czech hops and coriander. Despite being very refreshing it lacks no character.

My label looked nothing like this picture. It was blue with a crown below the Clovis banner and fleur de lises flanking "Belgian Stong Ale" with a bee at the top of the label. I drank this beer at too warm a temperature. It was probably a good bit above 60 degrees F, but it was still a great beer. By definition, any beer that can be drunk easily when warm is a good beer. There were definite coriander and other spices going on and I thought I may have detected a bit of honey, but I couldn't be sure. The color wasn't that great, but that doesn't really bother me. There were definite alchohol notes in both flavor and scent and it smelled a bit like a good whiskey.

orange colour, few head and no lacie, deep litchies aroma, strange bitterness, moderate malt body, fruity, perfumy and rather artificial - not my kind of beer

Cloudy orange color with almost no head. Aroma smelled like a barn with some citrus and raisens. A lot of black floaties in this as well. Taste was both sweet and tart, with a bit of honey in there as well. Very strange brew indeed.

I did not like the Bush 12% it was an alcohol overkill, I bought this with much skepticism. But this is what the 12% should be. Yeast and malt with a hop punch. No overkill of alcohol. A good belgian for a good price - $2 a 12oz bottle. Fruit flavor with a complex palate. Caramel apples at the local carnival is what comes to mind. Check this one out.

Deep golden color with amber undertones. sweet fruity aroma and a sweet, spicy flavor. Dry bitter finish. good flavor overall.
