This is a perfect example of a 'fluff' beer. A pale sister to the Hoegaarden Original White, or the St. Bernardus Wit. The body was weak, the colour was weak, and the flavour was weak. Light Beer drinkers may find this one appealing.

Bought at the LCBO, with an added sticker written 5.5% alc./vol. Pours a pale golden-yellow colour that is hazy. Carbonation is decent, with a small white head that does not leave much behind. The aromas are very mild with little orange zest and Belgian white yeast. A refreshing mouthfeel that is semi-crisp. Again, not much to the taste. A little citrus, a little yeast and a little apple aftertaste. Not much here at all.

Holy orange aroma Batman! Oddly it has kind of an apple juice like appearance. Has and oddly kind of nutty taste for a Wit. It's not the best Wit I ever had but it is easily quaffable. Probably enjoyed best in the summer.

Bottle pours a semi hazed light gold Witbier in the glass with a decent enough frothy cap that leaves excellent soapy lace on the glass. Aroma may turn some off as the orange peel is strong but it is balanced by a crisp biscuity tone and some light spice. Soft mouth feel mellow malitiness mingles with light spicing and citrus with a sharp flash of hopping in the lightly sweet finish. A different softer style of witbier, toasted wheat-malty and slightly sweet, a flavorful and easy drinking wit.

I tried this beer on September 12, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe's" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer pours a cloudy golden yellow with a thick, bubbly, white head that lingered. The aroma was malted wheat, cloves, and some sweet banana. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very crisp with hints of banana, cloves, and nutmeg, all on a wheaty base. -

Bottle: Poured a yellow hazy beer with a nice head that dissipated a bit too soon. Aroma is a mix of wheat and citrus. Taste is quite refreshing with again notes of citrus and wheat being the most obvious. Very good example of the style and very refreshing after this hot weekend.
