Bottle: Poured a beige color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of light sweet malt is pretty boring. Taste is also dominated by some light sweet malt notes with no hops or spices to be noticed. Medium body with average carbonation. Not as bad as some other beers from this brewer but just awfully boring.

Purchased at the Dépanneur À-Tout-Prix in Laval, Quebec. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a white head that does not stay too long, and no lace. The carbonation is steady, but not too crazy. This is the first beer tasted from Breughel where I smell potential. Reminds me of Unibroue with their fine yeast and spices. Unfortunately, that stops there. Mouthfeel is thin and watery. Taste is hardly present. There is 8% ABV in there ?!? Quite well-hidden. The spices are very mild with some light fruits. At least it is not the usual taste they have in there other beers.

Breughel brewery situated in Kamouraska (Bas-du-fleuve)in Québec are another example of the dynamic microbrewery industry emerging in Québec. This micro try to perpetuate the belgium tradition of abbey beer...That being said i was a bit disappointed by this offering but not completely;yeasty aroma and quite bitter flavor, it's a strange mix of a pale ale mix with an abbey blonde...That's maybe why they label this beer Strong pale ale a style not avalaible in Beerpal??? I f you want to enjoy this beer ,i think it's better to let it rest at least 30 minutes before drinkint it at room temperature...Miss definitely the fruity flavor of a good begium ale, must be too hoppy...A good try nonetheless, and very different....
