Kind of bought it on a whim. Glad I did, and I haven't even tried it yet. Smells and looks glorious. Big bubbles, creamy, tan top. Dark, aromatic. Damn. That's fine. A touch woody, with more than a hint o' smoke. Some vanilla, a little hoppy, yep, just like they said. The write-up says aged in pinot noir barrels, but the bottle does not. Strange... And I didn't get my 3D glasses either, Safeway! Though it was the last one, so I shouldn't complain. Really smooth, with a woody, piece-of-burnt-oak-in-my-mouth flavour. Bridgeport's best.

An opaque black with a creamy tan head that had good retention, but didnt leave much lace. Coffee and cocoa in the nose, dark malts, hints of booze-soaked oak. Taste of dark malts, with notes of cocoa, vanilla, and bitter coffee, more pronounced taste of whiskey-soaked oak, and the pinot noir influence was also noticeable. As it warms i can only distinguish the flavor from the barrels. Decently smooth mouthfeel, medium-bodied, with a slight stickiness left behind. Overall its a bit light, the flavors are there but faint, however a nice beer none the less.

Strong, smoky aroma has a decided overtone of whisky barrel and subtle coffee and chocolate notes. It pours a rich, deep, opaque sable with a thick, fine-bubbled tan head that leaves generous lacing. Flavor is - where to begin? Whisky and woody overtone; earthy, chocolate, coffee, molasses, licorice and nutty notes - each sip seems different. Texture has about average body and a decent amount of fizz. Lip-smacking finish has woody and smoky notes and a hint of sweetness. This one will have you "raven"! :D

Smells of sweet roasted grain. Pours thick and oily with a creamy foam head. Lots of bubbles. Weighs a ton. Can't wait to taste this one. Damn. Taste is unremarkable. Just some sweetness and grain. Finish is light. I expected more in the taste department.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_JmXCNPs6Y .. 22oz bottle from the Near Sighted Rabbit .. . Pours a deep brown black .. good foam, medium lacing . ..
he doesn't know me, i could have a trunk full of chainsaws! .. . i get sweet tar and a really good dose of coconut, like lots of coconut, with very very light oak and light vanilla bean .. .
shit, this stuff is smooth as worm butt silk .. . this is absolute quality and easily the best Bridgeport item, even better than their door to door handjob service! .. . .
Now just how well do you know that freak with the basketball?

From Pt Roberts (WA) Marketplace, in a bomber. Great appeaerance here, with a creamy light brown head and a body so black that no light gets through. Pretty nice nose, lots of roasted chocolate malts. Flavour was seriously good. again with the malts, maybe some hops, but I'm not sure about the promised "wood/oak overtones and bourbon-vanilla notes". I'll accept that they were there, in a discrete manner and added to the delicious flavour. Best beer from Bridgeport I've had.
