The dark malts used, give this beer a wonderfully rich aroma and taste. Strong roast and burnt characteristics. It is not hopped very heavily and oats are used in this particular beer because they lend a fuller mouthfeel.

Pours a dark brown with a lasting head. There’s a good bit of chocolate in the aroma, but this is a fairly thin beer and not too special in the long run.

Brewers Alley is a very good brewpub located in Frederick, MD. Most of their products are very good and original. This is worth a stop if you're in the area.

Poured a dark red, brownish color with a large tan head. Sweet roasted and chocolate aroma. Creamy chocolate oats and some alcohol in the taste. Very creamy mouthfeel.
