Rich, round and roasted, our stout is satisfaction in a glass. It's a bold, smooth-bodied concoction that oozes dark-roasted coffee aromas and flavors of espresso and semi-sweet chocolate. We round out these heady pleasures with a dose of flaked oatmeal for a creamy body and a semi-dry finish. Unforgettable.

Not the best oatmeal stout around. Malty, coffee hinted aroma which is pretty much what you get taste wise too. I was expecting a little creamier feel, but it seemed lighter than expected.

Clear black with small light brown lacing foam head. Coffee and chocolate in aroma, same in taste. Good beer and the last one for this evening. (Galveston 201705)

Pours a near pitch black with a one finger head that lofts for a bit. Aroma is of dark malts, light chocolate, and caramel. taste is fairly watered down with a heavy hit of metal. Light malts, chocolate and caramel is in the taste but is very subdued. Aftertaste slightly bitter and dry. Fairly pathetic brew.

I'm with the "this is a good but forgettable stout" crowd. Not sure to call it a sweet or dry, but I'd say more on the dry side. The chocolate malt and oat flavors are there, with a semi-creamy texture from the oatmeal. Roast coffee and burnt molasses/sugar give some bitterness. Flavor and overall rating almost an 8...but just not quite. I certainly would not turn this down, but not seeking to buy again. Has potential though. Could see it being better fresh on tap.

Not one of the better oatmeal stouts around. This beer pours a dark chocolate brown with a creamy milk chocolate coloured head. The aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, and vanilla. No strong coffee scents here. The flavour is dark chocolate, licoriuce, and a bitter finish.

a decent fairly robust oatmeal sout. lots of roasted malt in the nose. complex well balanced flavor. where it came up just a tiny bit short was the feel...more carbonation than needed, and not as robust in feel as flavor.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown black with a medium dark brown head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.
The aroma is lactose and some roasted / charred (plastic) chocolate malts and a bit of grain.
The flavor is acidic roasted malts and some sweet chocolate with a bit of bitter char in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation and slightly watery.
Overall, reminded me a bit of the Crabtree version. Pretty bland with some off notes. The sweetness and char didn't mix well. -

Bottled@Monks Café Porterhouse, Stockholm. Very deep amber colour with small beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, berries, ashes, some caramel malts and mild coffeeish notes as well. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel malts, mild coffeeish notes as well as some ashes and dark fruits. Balanced and rather nicely balanced.

A dark brown pour with a thick tan head. Great lacing around my glass. Flavor of malt, burnt sugar, a little bitterness. A little sweeter than most stouts I've had, but very drinkable.

pours a very dark color with a very light thin head that disappears very quickly like most breckenridge beers. Taste lightly of dark chocolate and burnt malt. This was my first stout so I don't have much to judge it on. I did think it was a good beer.

Very dark brown. Almost black body with only the faintest dark red highlights around the edges. Tan colored head was not very pronounced and dissappeared about a quickly as any I've poured. Did leave a small sampling of lacing on the glass. Very robust dark malt is the first fragrance I detect. Experiencing a wonderful coffee aroma along with the oatmeal and almost a "cream of wheat" scent. Finding a roasty nuttiness underneath it all. Seems very well balanced. The strong coffee comes through immediately with the taste. Nice. I'm also recognizing a dry almond flavor. Maybe only ascertaining the smallest amount of dark fruit at the back end. Medium to full mouthfeel. Dry, smooth and moderately creamy. Significant amounts of flavor are left on the tongue, roof of mouth and throat after each sip. This brew feels nice in the mouth. I like this beer very well, however it seems that all Breckenridge Brewing Co. brews I've tried seem to be lacking with head and head retention. Even with aggressive pours they just don't produce or hang around. This beer would be nice on those bitter cold afternoons and evenings. I could see myself haveing a few of these while watching the snow fall.
