We like to think this is an ale for everyone who believes you make your own luck. We sure did. And the result is a well-balanced, soulful IPA with just the right amount of hoppiness. An even keeled ale that goes down clean and refreshing, but still lets you know it’s been doted on by the Brewmaster. It's true to it’s IPA heritage, but also highly drinkable. Lucky U. And we seriously mean that.

Tried this a few years ago but forgot to review. Found it a bit below average for an IPA. Missing the strong hop of a West Coast and balance a bit off. Leaned more on the malt side. Hit or miss with their brews, and this one apparently was one I did not remember.

pours a bright orange color with a medium sized soapy head which dissipates dramatically, but leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is of citrus hops with some pine resin with a hint of honey and some sweet malts. The taset has a nice bitterness upfront, some tangy orange and pine in the initial flavor with a grapefruit aftertaste with some spice and earthy type hops present as well. The mouthfeel is very medium bodied for an IPA, very drinkable!

On tap at Breckenridge in Denver: Clear, amber-orangeish. Light hops, grass and yeast on the nose. Pear and lime flavors, faint grapefruit taste with slightly weak finish.

Comes out of the tap a pretty clear amber with a respectable fine-bubbled pale golden head. Aroma is hoppy and resiny, typical for an IPA but still appealing. Flavor, fortunately, is better - decidedly hoppy, slightly bitter, with an evergreen undertone and a hint of sour citrus. Lively texture leaves a nice hoppy fizz. As far as IPAs go, not too shabby.

Pours orange with a foamy white head. Malty aroma. Carmel taste with a little hops and spice. Not a bad beer but I expected more hops and less malt from an "IPA".

another decent session ipa, but a little too mellow and unassuming to standout. the average of 3.0 going in seems a bit harsh, though. grapefruity hops and a decent carmel malt backbone. nothing stands out, nothing is bad.

Sampled on 9/21/2010. This IPA pours a orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is grapefruity, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and citrusy. Nice carbonation. Some decent malt flavors in the background, balanced by the hop flavors. Medium to highly bitter IPA. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Poured a light amber color with a very big head that was slow to disappear. A nice smooth taste. With a hoppy aftertaste that is not overpowering. Would drink again

A dull orange amber colred beer. A small creamy textured white head rises above and settles nearly as quickly. Very light/thin ringlet is left behind. Citrus nose and tasting in equal intensity. Some notes of sweet malt are also in the tasting. But not overpoweringly so. The body is medium and cramy. Really good IPA.
