Pours a dark copper-mahogany colour with a beige foamy head, good retention and a full foam lace all-around. Aromas of raisins, spicy-nutty yeast and hints of chocolate and caramel. Well-hidden alcohol with no burning, but mild warming and light bitterness. Flavours of grass from the hops with roasted malts, yeast, dark fruits and coffee. Licorice even comes out in the nose near the end. An interesting beer that is a different style with mild overall tones, but making this one easy-drinking for such a high alcohol content.
