Pours an average size frothy beige head and has a dark murky brown appearance. Weak lacing. Aromas of grainy malts, herbal hops and spices. Flavours are fairly bitter, strong spiced notes, a bit sweet. Also has dried fruit flavours (raisins, prunes) and resin hops. Hints of caramel malt. Seems like hints of ginger in the finish. Alcohol is a bit apparent in this one, not overly offensive though. Still quite drinkable.

Pours a hazy dark amber colour giving red highlights. Big beige head that lasts a while and decent lacing graces the glass. Loads of spices in the nose, with dark fruits, anise, sweet grapes, berries and chocolate. Pretty sweet tasting with the vinous grapes and some roasted malts in the finish. Hints of licorice again. Less spices. Yeast lingering creating tart for the mouthfeel. Maybe cherries and ginger. Not sure where the weizen is and not a bad beer, but a little all over the place.
