The wheat and fruit (apple) gently envelop the palate, followed by a subtle taste of malt. These beers are made with fruit juice or purée, which gives them a natural fruit flavour. Purchased in a mixed 4-pack with the other fruit ones (orange, cherry and raspberry). Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and thick lacing. Aromas of real apple juice, not the fake candy apple stuff. The mouthfeel is almost tarty. Mild apple taste with some nice grain showing up in the finish (which was not in the orange version). You can see that real apple juice was added to this one as the colour is deeper golden. Not a cider, but a nice refreshing light apple ale.
