Another excellent Brakspear brew with the characteristic pleasant sourness that sets this brewery apart. Well rounded beer with a touch of malt, some up front hoppy bitterness and a long dry, sour finish. Worth seeking out.

Called "Brakspear Oxford Gold Organic Beer" on label now, with a best before date 25 JUN 09. Pours a golden-orange colour with a decent off-white foamy head, average retention, and nice bubbly lace. The carbonation is pretty light. The aromas are on the cereal side at first, but then, the beautiful hop comes out. Crisp refreshing mouthfeel. The goldings hop are apparent in the taste as well. Very nice. Not too bitter though, just right for a session beer with class. Not really weird tasting, like most organic brews I have tested before. If not written on the label, I would of never known.

Very sweet aroma and light brown apperance. Nice attack of hops and a bit of malt, and some citrus. Nice dry finish as well and a bit of carbination. Recommended

Bottle: Poured a hazy yellow/orange color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention but some good lacing. Aroma consists of fruity ester with some floral malt. Taste is a mix between some floral malt with some nice fruity ester and a medium sweet hoppy finish. Medium body with some medium carbonation. Well done overall for the style and appears reasonably fresh which is always welcome.

Bottled (Brakspear Bottle conditioned Organic Beer). Colour is amber, with big white fluffy head. Aroma is hoppy and a bit honey with some malts in it. Flavour is honey, flowery hops and mouldy. Weird thing is that there is something very alcohol-like in finish.

500 ml brown bottle, available in Norway (ICA Maxi). Label layout is different and reads "Brakspear Bottle Conditioned Organic Beer", but this must be the same beer. ABV is the same, 4.6%. Pours very fizzy with an enormous foamy head. Deep golden / amber colour. Pleasant hoppy aroma (Fuggles, Goldings), hints of toffee and butterscotch. Moderate malty flavour with a well balanced hoppiness, toffee sidenotes. Mouthfeel maybe a bit thin. Bitter finish.

Bottle. Copper coloured with a thin white head. Hoppy, slightly yeasty aroma with underlying malts. Nice bitter taste with some citrus. Nice bitter finish. Smooth and medium bodied. Good.
