Brewed with generous amounts of Vienna and Munich malts for a rich full-bodied malty flavor, Dragonhosen begins as a traditional Oktoberfest lager then stealthily breathes fire with 9% alcohol by volume. Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops add balance with a mild earthy aroma and flavor with moderate bitterness.

A cloudy amber colored beer with a big, fluffy textured off white head rising above. Settles into a light dusting of film and thin ringlet. Malted nose, even sweeter, malted tasting. Needs more hoppy balance then the light grassiness I get. Medium bodied syrupiness.

Comes out of the bottle a clear, bubbly chestnut with a fairly thick and fluffy buff head. Malty aroma has a firm fruity note and a hint of hops. Flavor hangs hints of hops, honey and caramel on a malty/fruity core. Texture has average thickness, not much fizz. Tame this dragon!
