It was about what I expected... citrus and a hint of pine, mildly hopped, zero complexity... no surprises, but all-in-all just an average offering. Nothing special, but no bad.

Tasted on tap at Nashville Brewpub. This IPA pours an orange gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is floral and piney. A medium bodied IPA. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are piney and citrusy. Nice balance. Smooth taste. Good carbonation. Light to medium bitterness, lots of hop flavors without being overly bitter. Still has a lot of malt character. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Nice amber with a good head. Great fresh hop aroma with a nice balance of pine tar and grapefruit rind. My guess is that the beer is heavily dry hopped because flavor lacks aroma's promise. It still has a nice bitter finish. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. CASK VERSION: I had this as the same festival (Southern Brewer's Festival in Chattanooga, TN). The aroma was similar but stronger and tilted more to the grapefruit rind. The hops also came through more in the flavor with a strong tongue-tingling hop bitterness from start to finish. Definitely a better beer on cask.

I'm not going to rant and rave that IPA's should have more hope taste to them. If these guys ahve ever tasted another IPA, they know they have to come harder than this to make this beer stand up. Average at best.

Sampled on draft at the Nashville brewpub. Pours a clear dark gold with only a collared white head but remarkable lacing. Aroma is grapefruit and spice. Flavor is bitter with fruit and a peppery spice. Medium-bodied and lightly carbonated. A better than average IPA and an enjoyable beer experience.

An average IPA with all the average IPA qualities. Appearance was amber with little head. Floral and citrus aroma. Very mild hop kick with orange and lemon flavor.
