Kriek Boon Mariage Parfait consists of 1 year-old heavy lambic flavoured with overripe cherries, 400 grams per litre. Longer aging in small oak barrels gives it its special flavour. The lambic is bottled and stored in an air-conditioned room for six months of secondary fermentation. Kriek Mariage Parfait has an alcohol volume of 8%. It keeps for a minimum 20 years, and is ready to drink after about 2 years in the bottle. This is perfection in kriek beers. Try it and admit that it surpasses the best wine

This is the perfect kriek, or so the name would imply, and personally, it is pretty damn good. A dark cherry red pour with a thin pink set of bubbles that resemble a head. Tart fruit, yeast, funk, and vinegar make up the bouquet. Lots of sweet and tart cherry in the flavour. No hint of the 8% alcohol.

The beer pours a translucent dark scarlet colour with a thin pinkish head. The aroma was cherries, vinegar, and wheat. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was tart cherry with notes of old wet grains and blackberries. A very good kriek. -

2008 bottle from Belmont Party Supply, Dayton, OH. Pink cherry amber colored pour, short tight head with nice lacing. Nice carbonation. Sour tart cherry aroma and flavor, lots of yeasts and funk, light vanilla and oak, more sour cherries, lightly musty. Exquisite.

Clear dark ruby red with small redish foam head. Aroma is sour cherry, taste is sour with cherry flavor and some banana far away. Nice beer for a change in tone, away from the usual. (Velp 201306)

pours a deep dark cranberry hued body with a head of raspberry sherbet but slowly fades away. The aroms is dark tart cherry and has a hint of brie rind and some light barnyard hints that mix in with it but they remain very light. There is some fruit skins aroma in the finish. The taste is dark cherry fruit flavor and some raspberry tartness mixed in. There is a cherry sourness that lingers after each dry sip. The mouthfeel is a medium-light mouthfeel with a tight little fizz and no alcohol heat or astringency noticed. Could have used a little more fizz.

Poured a hazy, brownish red color with no head, black floaties abound. Aroma of vinegar, cherries, leather, horseblanket and brett. Taste of tart cherries, oak, and acid with light carbonation.

Deep apple cider mash color with a nice sour apple/cherry aroma. Bitter grape feel, actually kind of dry and subtle, but damn good.

This kriek pours with a nice red body topped by a medium thick head with some lacing left on the glass. The aroma is woody, oakey and slightly sweet yet tart with a slight mustiness and cherry notes. The flavor is tart and slightly sweet with cherry notes and a woody, oakey accent with a very slight mustiness. Light to medium bodied and dry.

ruby colour, fine head, cherry and caramel aroma, very sweet, lack of complexity, aftertaste is brief and dry - pleasant but lacks of complexity.

It's an ok kriek, but I prefer Lindeman's
