Our interpretation of the 1858 Whitbread Contract Porter brewed in collaboration with beer historian Ron Pattinson. Heavily hopped with East Kent Goldings to punctuate malt-driven coffee, bread crust and cocoa flavors with notes of tea, citrus, herbs, grass & lavender. Pours deep coffee with a thick tan head. Roasty aroma is not strong, but promising. Flavor brings roasty, smoky and chocolate notes. Texture furnishes nice body & peppy fizz. Keep this company.
