An orange-amber colored beer with a two fingered frothy textured white head rising briefly above. Not much lacing. The nose is ginger. The taste more of the same with some earthiness grain. Watered.

Comes out of the tap dark orangy amber with a thin pale buff head. Malty aroma has a spicy overtone, cinnamon and ginger plus a snip of clove. Flavor is mainly ginger, clove and cinnamon supported by a Wheaty and malty underpinning. OK if nothing extraordinary - and it does get me in the holiday spirit. Texture is quite fizzy, if not firm. So it’s a mega-brew offering masquerading as a craft brew - so what, it’s a decent drink.

Not sure where to go with this one. First sample seemed ok. Usually beers grow on me, but the opposite here. The up front flavors are ok...cinnamon/spice (though a little heavy). But then it's followed by an unbalanced mild hop with near swill-like quality. Blue Moon seemed a lot better 5-10 years ago....pretty much macro now.

Pours out a clear darl ice tea color with just a light thin head. The aroma diffintly smells smells like ginger. The taste is upfront clove with notes of ginger and other spices. Not to bad I would try it again.

Seems like the spiced ales are better than when blue moon tries to be artsy. spices are there - less in the aroma than the flavor. pleasant enough. body doesn't quite support the flavor profile, but I was not expecting greatness after all. not bad. swill drinkers will go ape shit.

Second gingerbread beer tonight (the other being Sam Adams Merry Maker). Part of their Brewmaster's seasonal sampler for winter 2013-14. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a frothy warm cap, decent retention and some lace. Spicy nose with ginger, cinnamon, cloves and hints of red ale malts. Not much molasses in the taste, but light spices and caramel malts. Decent brew but the Sam Adams was way better (being stronger overall).
