A German Marzen style brew, this vibrant copper colored lager is characterized by big malt favor and roasted caramel aroma. Its healthy addition of Hallertau hops is present in reflection of this heady change of seasons.

Strong, sweet aroma has tones of molasses, caramel and malt with a hint of cloves. It pours a nice clear dark amber with a fairly thick and fluffy ivory head that leaves barely any lacing. Malty flavor has subtle fruity, caramel and molasses notes and just a touch of spice. Smooth texture has average body and typical fizziness, leaving a bit of a malty, spicy, fruity finish. Not the best, but certainly worthy of at least a try.

A beer of the month club entry for Oct/Nov 2011 Pours a dark amber with little head. Nice thick body, a little light on flavor with the flavor on the malty side, little bitterness, but is just fine when washing down a meal!

From my beer o' the month club. Poured a clear amber colour with not much of a head. Aroma is a tad weak, but some mild biscuit and floral hop notes. Taste is a little watery a well. Not a stellar marzen by any means.
