Brewed earlier in the month, specifically for OCB Beer Week, Daily Bread Saison, was a collaboration we did with the Black Oak and Cheshire Valley. A Belgian Table Sasion, this beer was definitely brewed to be a session beer. At only 4.5% and with a gentle, refreshing and thin body, this ale will be perfect for the summer.

Very pale gold cloudy saison with a smallish white cap, modest carbonation. Aroma has spice-floral-fruity tones over a biscuity malt base, much like a more floral/fruity witbier. Light body, slightly drying character , peppery mouth feel. The Flavour profile is much like the aroma without the floral notes; nice biscuit malt spine with spice and ester notes, good balance from herbal hops, a bit of earthy-mustiness from the yeast, light easy clean finish. A nice rendition of a saison, unfiltered and full of flavor but light and refreshing.

Part of Ontario Craft Beer Week
The beer poured a hazy gold colour with a long lingering white ring. The aroma was yeast, funk, and grass. The mouthfeel was light to medium bodied, with mild carbonation. Flavour is very funky, with citrusy notes, and some grass. The yeast is far less pronounced than a true Belgian saison.
