Pours luscious coffee brown with a thick tan head. Roast quality coffee component of the aroma reaches out and touches you from half a meter away; as you close in, roast malt and semi-sweet chocolate hints make themselves known. Bold, smoky notes dominate the coffee and malt flavor, while earthy, chocolate and subtle nutty tones provide support. Texture is fairly firm but quite fizzy. Almost like a good stout mixed with an offering from Caribou Coffee. Them Italians know how to brew good beer!

330 ml capped bottle. Poured an unpasteurized and opaque dark deep brown, close to black, coloured ale with a small one finger tan foamy head that had a long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Poor lacing. The aroma is strong roasted coffee beans, chocolate and roasted malts. The flavour is roasted malts, faint coffee, a point of licorice and an " unexpected " guest " with notes of green olives (!!). The mouthfeel is fizzy, sparkling and a bit thin, even quite watery. This light to medium bodied ale has a dry malty and coffeish finish. A very nice and pleasant ale from a surprising Italy.

Bottle: Poured a clear deep black color porter with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light dry coffee notes with some roasted malt and a side dish of lactose. Taste is similar to a ''café au lait'' with some light coffee overshadowed by lactose and sugar. Body is a bit thin thought somewhat creamy with good carbonation. Not bad and very different from its American and English counterpart.

Almost opaque dark brown colour with a low creamy off-white foam. Rather clean aroma of nuts, dark chocolate, crackers and coffee. Medium-bodied with notes of nuts, crackers, dark chocolate and mild pepper. Rather clean mouthfeel. Quite mild but lasting finish of crackers, coffee, cocoa, mild licorice and and mild pepper.
