Pours a semi-transparent brown/black with a one finger head that disappears very fast. Not much noticeable carbonation. Aroma is very very roasty with hints of chocolate. Somewhat of an earth feeling from the aroma as well. Taste right off the bat is noticeably flat with hints of roasted malts and chocolate malts. Fairly creamy in the mouth but not much. Very smooth going down. If they ever made an "Light" Oatmeal Stout this would be it, goes down nice and doesn't have a big kick. I could see this one being in the fridge for guests and also myself if i wanted to drink more than one. Very nice job.

Deep brown, almost black pour with a cola-colored head. Aroma of chocolate, oatmeal, and just a hint of coffee. Taste is much the same with a smooth mouthfeel. Very well constructed sessionable stout but could use just a touch more depth. Great find at $5.49/sixer!

Earth and oatmeal predominate the nose. Pour is a little thin as is the head. Looks like a porter more than a stout. Same goes for the mouthfeel. Thin. Taste is simply wonderful. Carmel, coffee and cream. The oats smooth it out. This is like a porter/stout mix. I love it!

Sampled out of bottle: Pours a dark brownish black colour with a medium sized tan head. Decent lacing left on the glass. Aroma is a little weak however, probably most dissapointing aspect of this brew. mouthfeel is pleasent and creamy, but taste is a little thin. Soft noticeable roasted malts and some milk chocolate. Finishes slightly metallicy.

the only part of this beer that is lacking is the body, and not by much. it looks like your prototypical stout, has a rich flavor, but a slightly thin feel. Very nice roasted malt finish. A solid oatmeal stout and one of BSs best.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a creamy tan head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is sweet chocolate and oatmeal with a little smoke and coffee.

The flavor is sweet chocolate and caramel with some nutty grainy malts, molasses and coffee and enough roasted bitterness at the finish to balance it out. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and a little watery.

Overall, a solid and tasty stout. A little much on the sweet side for me.

Dark brown pour, nice head with fine tan lacing. Aroma of dark fruits and grains, baker's chocolate flavors with subtle fruits. Kind of watery, disappointing body, but tasty. Pretty drinkable stout from Mont-aaaaa-na.

Beer actually looks pretty darn good when poured into my pint mug dark mahogany brown with a nice tan coloured head..the head shrinks fast but never quite dissapears. This one i can definatlly smell the oats..along with a semi=pleasant burnt aroma..its not bad though. Taste is good and creamy to start then a oaty flavour near the middle of my tongue..it loses its way in the final third..no after tatse to speak of. Mouthfeel is too thin for this style..too watery near the end. This beer started off good but limped home in the end..a bit of work and this could be a good brew.
