This poured a nice reddish brown. There was not much of an aroma to it. The flavor was pretty standard for a winter brew. Very drinkable but there are others that are better.

Very light copper color, nice foam top, good aroma, taste was strange at the finish.Had a nice fullness to it,Good beer overall.I had trouble nailing down the cost since it was a gift. This beer gets a pass from me.

A hop forward winter ale, this Powder Hound is a nice addition to the Big Sky lineup. Lots of citrus in the aroma and flavor with hints of Biscuit, earth and some fruit notes as well. a deep brown body with thin lace, ok mouthfeel, overall it a pretty decent brew.

Loved Trout Slayer so I thought I would try another one. Powder Hound pours a nice dark amber color with a very fluffy head. Not much of an aroma at all. Lightly metallic taste that feels watered down. I just had a stout before this so it might be affecting my taste buds. I will try this one again just to update my review.

Picked this up on my annual "try all winter beers available in ND" trip to the beer store and was very pleased. Another solid offering from Big Sky. Pours a reddish brown with a off white head. Aroma of some floral and citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. Taste is unique--some hop bitterness balanced by sweet malts, caramel, and a little tartness. I could see myself drinking several of these in an evening.

light-medium bodied, leaving me wanting more from this winter beer. the malt nose and flavor, with a slighlty dry hop finish is pleasing, if a little on the light side. probably won't be back for this one.

Pours dark brown with perfect clarity and small, lasting head. Aroma boasts sweet malt notes of toffee and caramel. The flavor begins with some of that same sweet malt character but the finish is bitter-dry. Overall pleasant and balanced. Medium bodied with moderate-to-strong carbonation.

Sampled from bottle. Pours clear, dark copper-amber with a thick creamy head and intricate lacing. Quite inticing. Dark fruit, subtle sweet malt and floral notes in the aroma. Balanced - maybe slightly sweet - and bready. Overripe plum and some caramel present as well. Medium-full body and smooth. Solid English ale.

This beer pours a clear, dark copper coloured body with a thick tan head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with light coffee and a significant amount of floral notes. Tatse is light, but comfortable and satisfying. Finishes slightly bitter but balanced.

This beer reminded me of an Oktoberfest. It poured amber with a moderate foam head. There was no aroma... nothing bad... nothing good. Taste was malty and marzipan. A thick and tasty mouthfeel with a malty finish. A good beer.

Finally a great new winter brew. Excellent. Aroma is full bodied. Appeance is nice and cloudy with dark brown hue. Very little head. Mouthfeel is alright but a lasting aftertaste. Flavor is full bodied and very nice. Thick winter malts are nice.
