It pours chocolate syrup brown, dense and thicker, with a lazy tan head. the nose is fresh brewed coffee, bitter grounds, dark toasty barley, and unsweetened cocoa. there is a ton of coffee in the flavor, and the dark malts balance the coffee bitterness with a touch of toffee sweetness, but its short lived. really round flavor, with some dark chocolate notes in the finish. I still have to go with Real Ales Coffee Porter, but his is pretty good as well.

A BIG thanks to Slowrunner 77 for this gem - one of many boxed up and sent to my home. I can't thank you enough! This beer was a coffee bomb - I loved it! My only complaint was that it was a touch thin for me. I would've liked a bit more body. That being said, a fantastic beer from Big Sky - another brewery I do not have access too. Many thanks again!

a nice addition to NBs line-up. a little thin bodoed but the flavor makes up for that. for the price, a very nice highly quaffable beer. the coffee is a little more evident in the flavor than the aroma. more roast in the nose and chocolate.roast/bitter balance in the flavor. well done.

12oz bottle. Pours dark brown black with a medium creamy tan head that goes to a thin film that leaves some lacing.
The aroma is sweet lactic chocolate and vanilla with some coffee roast and a touch of smoke and ash.
The flavor is a little sweet chocolate with a lot of acidic stale coffee flavor. There's a decent amount of charred bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with light carbonation.
Overall, a decent coffee porter. The coffee flavors were a little stale to me and the charred bitterness was a little much. I preferred the Santa Fe coffee stout much more.
