This CopperBock – a strong, malty, copper-hued lager – comes in at a warming 7% ABV. Available in 473mL cans, it highlights the depth of this style while keeping it incredibly accessible. “It’s a classic style of beer that has deep historic roots,” says Lon Ladell, Big Rig Brewery’s brewmaster. “It’s perfect for the winter season – its rich maltiness combines with the Augustiner lager yeast we use, which creates a nice, clean finish.

Can. Colour - dark brown, opaque, thin beige head. Aroma - roasted malt, wheat, caramel, molasses. Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, over carbonated. Flavour - very bitter malt notes, some coffee, some dark chocolate. I've had better Weizenbocks.

Nice looking beer. Admittedly, I am unfamiliar with this style. I found it kinda thick, and I am not certain what it is supposed to taste like, but it grows on you with each and every sip.

Beautiful colour. Unfortunately the head does not last too long. Sweet caramel malt aroma. Flavour of slightly burnt caramel, toffee, quite sweet. Medium body, not much carbonation . Decent bock.

I don't usually buy canned beer these days, but sometimes you can make an exception. As described oin the can, the beer is a clear copper colour. Molasses and caramel best describe the aroma and the flavour. There might be too much bitterness in the finish, but Big Rig isn't known for their finesse in making beer.

Pours a good size frothy beige cap and has a clear amber coppery appearance. Lacing is thick and sticky. Aromas of roasted barley malts, hints of caramel. Flavours are also quite malty, some toasty and sweet notes, a bit of caramel hints. Has a some bready and earthy tones as well. Good retention. Average carbonation. Somewhat of a slick and drying sensation. Good stuff.

The beer pours a translucent brownish red with a light tan coloured cap which lasts. The aroma is nutty malt, caramel, wheat, and floral hop notes. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is roasted malt, nuts, coffee, and finishes with a bitter hop feel. Not bad. My favourite Big Rig beer so far.
