Started off too cold which made the flavors kinda messy. As it warmed up it was much more interesting, though still a bit sour for my taste. Like tootsie rolls, cherry, and oaky vanilla all rolled together. The red in the color is pretty attractive as well.

Was not a fan of the regular Cherry stout and this isn't any better. Why people feel the need to ruin beer with the taste of hard liquor is beyond me.

Incredible mix of heavy roasted stout, mildly tart dark cherries, wood and bourbon. Dark viscous body with a dark, frothy head and spotty lacing. Great scent of tobacco, cherry, burnt toast and cocoa. Flavor follows suit and allows the wood and bourbon to pull through. Fantastic, levels above their Cherry Stout.

I wasn’t a huge fan of the Cherry Stout beer to begin with, as I thought it lacked any cherry character to begin with. This beer followed the same thing, except now it’s got a huge bourbon character in both the aroma and flavor which bumps it up a few levels.

The beer pours out an inky black color, coating my glass with a molasses-like color and a 1" creamy brown head. Aroma is clearly bourbon dominant, with lots of wood, toffee, light smoke, vanilla and dark chocolate. Flavor is full-on bourbon like someone poured a quick shot in my bottle. Oak flavors, vanilla, tart malt/fruit (although I couldn’t get cherry, but could see the association of tartness with the cherries), Red Vines and a bit of tobacco. Very enjoyable beer and erases the memory of the Cherry Stout from my mind.

I bought this one today at the bells general store, dang good one. I love stouts and this comes out real nice aroma, warming alcohol note, followed by the chocolate and the cherry taste. The bourbon taste is in there also, i highly recommend this one . Well worth the three us dollars i spent . I have tried many of bells beers and do not recomend them all , but this one for sure.
