A dark, rich and layered stout with a wonderful silky texture and a lingering finish. We use a complex mash including roasted barley and oats along with 3 types of malt to give the beer plenty of black coffee and dark chocolate notes that make this stout intense yet approachable. Malt: Pale, Chocolate, Crystal, Roast Barley and Oats Hops: Challenger

Part of the 2018 Belhaven Craft Christmas 6-Pack. The beer pours a translucent dark mahogany colour with a creamy light brown head which lasts a few minutes. The aroma is roasted malt, oats, vanilla, and coffee. The mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy, with average carbonation. The flavour starts off sweet with grains, dark chocolate, and molasses before finishing with a light bitter note. -

Bottle. Colour - a murky black pour, brown edges, with a creamy light brown head that while thin, laces very nicely. Aroma - roasted malt, nuts, licorice, molasses. Mouthfeel - medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Flavour - bitter coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate. It was an alright beer.

Part of their Merry Craftmas 6-pack. Pours a dark brown colour, almost black, with ruby highlights. The head is beige-mocha, fizzy, not lasting very long and lacing is minimal. The mix of hops over the roasted malts give out rusty notes. The taste has this rustiness as well. Sweet flavours over the roasted malts. Way too sweet, nothing to blend with it. Maybe some coffee with time. I used to be a big fan of Belhaven brews before, but this whole pack was a bit of a downer.
