Pale but interesting, Belhaven's Scottish Lager is light, crisp and sweet - just perfect thirst quenching fare. We could go all fancy and start chatting about its citrus notes and malty palates but bottom line is it's a great pint - a top class lager.

A pale yellow colored beer with a big frothy textured white head rising briefly above. Lacing left is unimpressive. The nose is a weird buttering hint of grass. The tasting follows.

Pours a clear straw yellow color with a nice white head, but recedes in a second. Very light lace is left behind. The aroma is of light hops up front followed by light citrus, lemon, and grass. The tate follows the aroma with citrus and grassy hops. Toasted malt that is slightly sweet. A light body that is effervescent but a little thin and watery. Easy to drink.

Tap sample @ the G-man in Houston .. . Pours a yellow gold.. decent low foam .. . flavours of refined corn and sweet mellow hay .. . a nice session lager .. . You lost a lot of blood but we found most of it. ..

Man, I wanted to say great things about this beer; however, the best thing I can say is that the Scots need to stick with single-malt scotch and leave the beer to the English or Germans. Average at best.
