Hogan's Goat Spiced Bock is an amber bock made with rye malt and infused with peppermint, orange peel and juniper berries. The following tasting notes are provided by the brewery: Pours deep orange. Mingling aromas of peppermint and juniper come to attention. With a sip the malty, sweet taste is given a pleasant cleansing lift from cooling peppermint and herbal juniper. Light orange peel adds citrus complements in the flavour undertones.

Pours and insane amount of foamy, bubbly off-white head and has a light, clean amber appearance. Sticky lacing. Aromas of toasty and nutty malts with notes of caramel, toffee and spices. Flavours are fairly strong in spices, sweet malts and rye, nicely complimented with caramel and toffee. Finds a nice balance before the strong resin hop finish. Well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Full bodied mouthfeel with some pretty lively carbonation. Another solid Beau's release!

The beer pours a translucent copper colour with a thin rocky tan coloured head. The aroma is yeast, light fruit (almost tropical), grains, and some earthy hops. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is sweet fruit tones, yeast, grains and a hint of the spice. A decent bock. -

Single at the LCBO. Pours a clean deep amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and creamy thick lacing. Spicy nose with lots of bread malt notes. Eventually, fruits come out, like oranges with some light alcohol in the background. Rye bread taste with a mild sweetness and a little yeast in the finish. The spices are not as strong in the flavours and that is too bad. Still, an overall easy-drinking bock.
