A beer with amber color, a bit hazy at that, slightly off white head, decent size but short lasting. A persistent ring of lace on the top of the beer lasts to the last drop is gone. A little hint of wheat on the nose, yeast and something a bit fruity? Maybe the coriander? The mouthfeel is a bit thin to start them builds up. The taste is light and sweet to start, a tad fruity, then bitter midway through and dry on the finish. Very “Weissen Bierish” in flavor to start but the coriander and salt makes this a bit different. Overall enjoyable. I think I would enjoy this more on a warm summers eve. It is refreshing (I think) and light on the pallet, easy to drink. Only 3 different types of this beer listed , shame….

Rated Sept. 2013. 33cl bottle picked up while at Bierzwerg. This is the first time I’ve seen this beer in a standard 33cl rather than that crazy (pricy) larger odd shaped bottle. So finally, here it goes. It pours with a moderately opaque copper body with gold hues and supporting a near white head of foam. The aroma has malt sweetened straw and some yeast and then a mild green earthy lime note that flows into a dash of lemon zest and sugar at the end of the draw. Behind those notes is a mild funky sour mash sensation. The taste begins with a mix of earthy malts, zesty lemon zest and sugar nuanced lime that creates a moderate degree of puckery tartness. It gets lighter and refreshing midway and into the dry finish where saltiness comes to the surface every now and then. Cool brew for a hot summer day.

This poured a golden color with little head. Aroma contains salty lemons. Flavor is lacking that salt and is sour similar to a berliner. This is like gose light. Overall refreshing but not complex. Re-rate after the Gose phase of 2015 hit and I had many crap knock offs I tried this again and can appreciated it more.

Bottle. Colour - golden copper, slight haze, thin off-white head that doesn't stay around. Aroma - funky yeast, tart fruit notes, salt water, light wheat notes. Mouthfeel - thin bodied, which I hear is appropriate for the style, very well carbonated. Flavour - tart fruit notes, sour grains, and salt water, and a spicy finish.

Pours a hazy pale goldenrod color that produced a nice cap of white froth. Decent retention. The aroma is a lively light yet crisp lemony tartness meets a subtle coriander-like salty spice to it. Ever so slight mild earthiness. The taste is of crisp lemony tartness which quickly flows into a subtle salty spice element in the middle and finishes dry with more of that lemony tartness again. The mouth feel has a great carbonation level and balance. Light, crisp, and mildly tart. The essential beer for summertime/anytime in my opinion.

Had to buy it just for the crazy bottle. Pours a slightly hazy solar yellow with an average off-white head. Aroma is wheaty and yeasty with a subtle undertone of citrus, average but still inviting. Flavor - hey, not too shabby; wheat, sour citrus and yeast notes, rather tart. Texture, though is rather thin and lacking in fizz. Unfortunately, the presentation is the best part about this beer; still, it’s worthy of a try. Maybe it’s better on-tap or in a smaller bottle.

Frothy white head, orange body. Aroma is fruity, a touch musty and sour, with some coriander and spiciest. Smooth, light and refreshing. The light sweet tart aspects of the flavor blend quite well with the coriander and salt ( perceptible only in the finish ). I really dig the gose style - hope to see more

It pours a light yellow-golden with a thin white head and some surrounding lacing. A malty aroma with light hops, lemons, and spices. The mouthfeel is smooth and somewhat rich. Flavors of sourness, malts, hops, lemon, the coriander and spices. It is good .. a little different. Doesn't this brew go against the Reinheitsgabot, given the addition of coriander?

Sampled on 4/30/2010. This traditional ale pours light orange gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, tart and salty. A medium to light bodied traditional ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, touch of tartness, spices and saltiness. Mild carbonation. Odd taste spectrum in this one, the beer starts out kind of tart and sour, goes kind of sweet in the middle and a touch salty at the finish. This bottle was a touch flat and a little watery, probably due more to the 4.6% alcohol content than anything else. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Pours hazy orange, slightly darker than a typical hefe - thick, foamy head with generous carbonation. Lacing is unbelievably strong. Floral and spicy aroma with a preponderance of corriander. Velvety smooth and rich on the pallette. Rich flavors match the aromas. Very choice!
