After the two breweries found themselves a long way from home at an event in London, we had a few beers and hatched a plan to see what we could come up with by way of pooling our brewing knowledge. The result is this traditional Gose brewed at Black Isle. Cornish sea salt was smuggled into Scotland by Nick and Ben, we provided the German Expertise in the form of brewmaster Thorsten. A healthy dose of coriander and citra hop give a subtle finish to this mildly sour, highky drinkable Gose.

Pours a hazy golden-orange colour with a fizzy off-white head that disappears rather quickly, leaving small patches of foam. Big caramel malt nose with some hop grassiness and hints of apples. The taste is mild, but pretty refreshing... with the light salt lingering. The flavours has also some fruitiness like oranges, other citruses. The spices (coriander mostly) are well-blended in here, so hard to notice, if you are not into this. A different twist on the Gose I am used to, but pretty good nonetheless. One that gets even better as it breathes.

The beer pours a slightly hazed metallic gold colour with a half inch thich off-white head that lasts a few minutes. The aroma is bread, cereal, spices, and weak floral notes. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, creamy, with above average carbonation. The flavour is herbal notes, some wpices, and cereal and bisuit malts. The beer is very dependent on the spicy and grain aromas and flavours.
