A semi translucent orange-yellow brew. Small frothy white head. Settle quickly. Decent lacing is left behind. Very faint notes of citrus on the nose. The body is light, short of being watery. There is a smoothness in the body. The tastes are simplistic, some malt, some citrus.

Pure hype. Man, I was disappointed after so many people told me this was a "must try". It wasn't nasty - bad, but certainly not worth what I had to fork out to get it.

This pale lager pours a medium yellow gold color from a 33cl bottle. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is grassy and grainy, with a touch of floral hops. A medium bodied lager. The malts are grainy. The hops are spicy and a touch floral. Clean and crisp. Lively carbonation. It’s a decent lager, nothing bad about but also nothing that really stands out. Not that that’s a bad thing. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Pours a good heavy white head. Honey/gold in colour, but no bubbling. Fruity nose, almost pineapple/green apple, touch of malty/caramel/honeycomb in there also. Quite an interesting beer. Some toasty/biscuit notes up front, but follows down the tongue with some typical aussie hop flavours, but then finishes in a more "Noble" style. Full palate... no hollowness. Finishes well.... crisp and not cloying. Bitterness is medium. To this point I had not been overly impressed with Baron's offerings.... This, however, is a good beer. And at $12 a six-pack, the slab should be good value...
