A Barnstormer original developed as a true Californicated West Coast IPA. Flight delay is medium gold in color and clear, but because it is unfiltered and dry-hopped there may be a bit haze. Rounding out the appearance she has a great head stand with a frothy white persistent head. Hop flavor is high, and reflects the well know American hop character showing the citrusy, floral, and resinous aspects found in a West Coast IPA. Although showing a very high hop bitterness the malt backbone supports the strong hop character and provides a perfect balance. Malt flavor is not showcased but some caramel or toasty flavors are presented at low levels. Style: American IPA (West Coast) Color: Medium Gold 8.0 SRM Body: Medium ABV: 6.5% IBUs: 85+ (depends upon calculations) Original Gravity: 1.065 Series: Crew (on tap nearly full time) Malts: Canadian two row and crystal Hops: Magnum, Chinook, Centennial, Citra Yeast: California Ale

Can. Colour – cloudy dark straw colour, white cap, decent lacing. Aroma – weak citrus, cereal, caramel. Mouthfeel – medium bodied. Overall – Citrus notes dominate the flavour with a hint of cereal. Not a beer I think needs to be tried again.

Flight Delay is a nice IPA, especially for the Ontario consumer. It isn’t so overpowering on the hops to make you want to avoid it, and it isn’t so weak to make you wonder why they even call it an IPA. A slightly hazed golden yellow in colour with a frothy white head that sticks around. Cereal malt and citrusy grains make up the aroma although some notes of spice and yeast keep you interested. Flavour is a nice balance between the grapefruit notes of the hops and the cereal malt with the added complexity of tropical fruitiness and yeasty notes.

Pours a huge frothy off-white head and has a deep golden appearance. Some nice thick dirty lacing remains. Aromas of oranges, yeast, bready malts. Flavours are mostly citrusy, but with a bit more of the bready malts coming through as well. Some subtle hints of caramel, a little sweet but not overly. Some nice bitterness on the palate but actually balanced well with sweetness. Good retention and lively carbonation.

Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with an off-white creamy head that stays long and creates great lacing. Nice citrus aromas with some grapefruits and oranges, all blended with breaded malts. Slightly oily mouthfeel with some decent dryness in the finish. Again, citrusy in the taste with some growing bitterness. A very nice IPA with grapefruit and orange peel all well-balanced with some good malts. Would have again.

Hazy Golden body with a generous white head. Aroma and taste is citrus and floral. Pine, grapefruit, grass and pepper help the flavour. There's also a hint of caramel malt. Medium mouth feel with a long dry finish. Don't know why but I was Quite surprised with this beer.

The beer is poured a hazed golden colour with a white frothy head that lasts. The aroma is straw, some herbal notes, tropical fruit, and weak citrus. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with average carbonation. The flavour is light grapefruit notes, earthy notes, and grass. Not a bad IPA.
