Lager meets IPA in a winning combination. Our Fathom India Pale Lager combines time-honored lagering techniques with the hop profiles of a West Coast IPA recipe. The cold-fermenting lager yeast provides a clean base that allows the citrus and pine aromas from the hops to really shine. The result is a gold medal beer with a refreshing, easy drinking character and just the right amount of depth.

355 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 7,0%. Golden colour, huge white head. Aroma of piney and citrussy American hops, some spicy hints. Medium sweet and dull flavour, not as crisp as I expected it. Bordering on "bland", the hops are not nearly as dominant as expected.

Pours a nice clear amber with a thin ivory head. Aroma is quite hoppy with a malty underpinning, like a good IPA. Flavor is boldly hoppy, just a little bitter - you hardly know this is a lager rare than an ale. Finish is lively and hoppy. Texture is fairly firm and leaves a good tingle. Fathom this.

22 oz bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a big creamy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is crisp sweet doughy malt with some fruit and resiny metallic hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts and some fruit with some peppery grassy hops. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

    Overall, a decent hoppy lager.

I LOVED this beer and the style. I had this on draft at the Barrel Chest in Roanoke, VA. This beer was hoppy and floral - wonderful hop bill. It also had the crispness and clean look of a lager. The India Pale Lager might be my new go to summer beer. Very, very nice! Ballast Point - one HR after another.

One of the better IPLs out there in my humble opinion. Manages a delicate balance of bready malts and intensely aromatic and fruity hops. Bitter leaning, but not overly so.

A clear rich burnt orange infused golden body with a great looking large fluffy white crown that settled slowly leaving alot of broken lace behind.Aromas were yeasty with overripe citrus fruits and a bit toasted bread,a hint of sweet booze as well.Flavors of somewhat sweet doughy bread with a big shot the overripe citrusy hops, again the yeast plays a big role.I really liked this hopped lager,it actually seems bigger than what it is.
