It's not dad's old Easter beer that came from the bottom of the vat. ( To set the record straight -Bock Beer is fresh, ok , not the dregs from cleaning brewery tanks once a year!!!!!!) Bock Beers are steeped in history and tradition. Usually coming out in late Fall or early Spring, their rich malty tastes and deep toned colors have great appeal to those who wait their arrival. Back Road Bock is made malty from German pilsen and munich malts. Kettle additions of German tettnang hops are used to add a mild grassy flavor. These flavors are balanced to produce a beer smooth and easy to drink. It is around for a short time and is available in growlers and party pigs only.

Bottle label states Koza Brada Bock, a tamed down version of their Aviator. Brown sugar aroma with raisin and toffee. Burnt sienna in color, thin tan head and spotty lacing. Medium bodied, nicely balanced and very clean. Light toast with figs and molasses to boot. Could be more robust, but all in all a solid bock.
