Spring Street Saison is unlike anything you have tasted before. A refreshing traditional Belgian Farmhouse Ale, brewed with a special 3 malt blend, European hops and a historic farmhouse yeast blend from the Wallonia region of Belgium. SSS greets you with a slightly golden color, filled with a rich maltiness and a touch of fruity and spicy aromas and tastes that has a dry finish. It's one to truly fall in love with.

Pours a clear light amber with an eggshell head. Strong aroma has yeasty and fruity notes with a hint of malt. Lively yeasty flavor has sour fruity and malty notes. Mouthfeel is quite fizzy and tingly, leaving a fruity and yeasty finish. Spring for it!

From 2 hour old memory. Look its hard to make an American Saison. Scent as expected, cloudy dark amber body over an off white head with OK retention and a bit of lace. Medium mouth not as slippery as I would like, carbonation OK. Like most US saisons (in my experience) there is just too much bubble gum although this one is not as offensive as most. Certainly don't use this to introduce the style to anyone, best I can say is not as offensive as most US Saison's.

The flavor is the real winner here - refreshing, crisp and clean with floral and fruitiness that are pleasantly intense to the pallette - more so than the nose. Golden color with a faint head. A delight from a new brewer in Birmingham.
