From old records it arises that our company founder, Johann Auer, drank a top fermenting dark beer. We think that he was proud of our JOHANN AUER. It owes its excellent taste to the quality commodities and the classical fermentation in the bottle with our own, top fermenting pure strain yeast.

500 ml capped bottle. Poured in a Bavarian Weisse Vase an unfiltered and cloudy-opaque mahogany coloured Dunkel Weizen with a generous three fingers beige, fine, dense and creamy foamy head that had a very long retention and tons of micro bubbles. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. The aroma is toasted and wheat malts, dark fruits notes and a very pronounced and unpleasant sourish-barnyard feeling. The flavour is wheaty grainy malts, yeast, notes of fruits, caramel and chocolate, a spicy touch. The mouthfeel is yeasty, thin and quite flat. The texture is watery. This light to medium bodied D W has a dry malty finish. If clearly drinkable, this Bavarian Dunkel Weizen offered no emotion.

A nice dunkle from AuerBrau. Cloudy brown pour into my Schneider & Sohns Weiß glass. Medium head that doesn't last to the bottom. Clove and typical wheat beer flavor.Smooth, mild. No aftertaste. Nice drinkable beer!
