Here's a nugget that James Marshall missed! Pale and crystal malts provide the backbone and golden hue, while Magnum, Simcoe and Chinook hops do the dancing on your tongue. Late hop additions to the kettle and aging on the "dry hop" give our India Pale Ale hop aroma and flavor worth digging for!

Shared one of these with my sister-in-law. Solid IPA. Slightly sticky, floral aroma, not-quite-pungent hops on the tongue. A much better offering than the Fool's Gold. Golden orange color, fizzy head. A great local beer to pre-game the Colfax Christmas parade.

Tasted at the Bistro's 13th Annual IPA Fest 8/7/2010. This IPA pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. Medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are herbal and earthy. Mild bitterness, more on the sweet/malty side than the bitter/hoppy side. Decent carbonation. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

A quality IPA with enough hop aroma and flavor to satisfy this hophead, although the iced tea-like sweetness could have been knocked down a few notches. The aroma explodes with a heavy dose of citrus and piney delight, with a semi-sweet malty note. Piney and floral hops punch the tastebuds around with enough force, it’s quite the enjoyable IPA but the iced tead does show up. A very enjoyable IPA, and one I would like to try from a cask.

close to a double, if it isn't indeed one. This is among their best beers...it was the second best (best in my opinion) beer at the Music In the Mountains brewfest 8/08. Wonderfull hop aroma and a body and strength that tends to lean towards an imperial. had it at the pub a couple times too, and it's never disappointed. 11/09-strangely enough, this big IPA didn't fare well cask conditioned. a little boring, especially compared to the awesome Rubicon Hop Sauce (cask). I'd like to compare the regular versions of each beer...
