Bottle says from San Jose, CA....not TX as described above. I wouldn't really describe this as a Hef. More like a pale ale in flavor and feel. Reminds me of a wheaty Magic Hat #9. I like it though. Good for summer and spring....maybe that's why I got on clearance for $3.99/4-pack. I'll take this all day long for a buck a beer.

also a little too lite all around for me. the requisite flavors and aromas are kinda there, but only under a microscope. like a hefe light. clove and light orange on the nose. slightly watery highly carbonated body is lacking, as is the flavor. ok, but not one i'll return to.

Pours a clear, bubbly solar yellow with a very thick and rather persistent eggshell head. Malty, wheaty aroma has firm yeasty and subtle citrus notes. Flavor echoes the wheat, yeast and citrus notes of the aroma; and adds some hops. Texture is smooth, not too fizzy or firm, but still OK. No need to kiss @$$ - just enjoy.
